1. Epidemiologist

General Position Summary/Purpose

This position involves leading research projects, needs assessment in relevant fields, study design and methods development and scientific writing including articles, protocols and reports all based on Clalit’s unique EHR database.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities

  • Leading research projects on today’s most important medical/public health challenges
  • Conducting needs/product assessments with clinicians to align research to serve clinical practice most effectively
  • Participation in a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of statisticians, analysts, epidemiologists, and policy makers
  • Responsible for innovation in study/protocol design and methodological approaches
  • Competency in statistics

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology/Public Health, PhD – an advantage
  • High proficiency in reading and writing scientific work in English
  • High self-learning ability
  • Familiarity with R language – an advantage

2. Senior Statistician

General Position Summary/Purpose

A leading role in the development of the statistical methodology and analysis in projects carried out at the Clalit Research Institute.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities

  • Mentor and collaborate with statisticians, epidemiologists, and data analysts within Clalit Research Institute, while providing technical assistance if needed
  • perform statistical data analysis for clinical outcomes and intervention plans a
  • present project the results to project teams and general audiences as needed
  • Develop and conduct seminars on statistics and research design when needed
  • Review statistical methods

Qualifications

  • PhD in Applied Statistics, Biostatistics or an equivalent field
  • Postdoctoral training or 3+ years of industry experience in designing and coding statistical modeling-based solutions
  • Knowledge and skills using statistical software packages, programming skills in R/Python (industry experience – a plus)
  • Experience with large sample sizes and observational data
  • Published author on the topic of methodological innovation, experience in adapting advanced statistical methods for medical research
  • Excellent written and oral skills communication skills; ability to articulate findings and insights clearly
  • Experience with ML for causal inference, NLP, RL, deep learning or image processing – an advantage
  • Knowledge in time series analysis, Bayesian inference, stochastic processes and principal component analysis in genetics– an advantage.

3. Data Analyst

General Position Summary/Purpose

We look for data analysts to joint our collaborative research projects in health economics and population health with Stanford University and Tel Aviv University.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience in data analysis
  • Statistics background
  • Economics background
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Independent- capable of taking ownership on issues from end to end
  • Communicative – able to articulate findings and insights clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Epidemiological background- An advantage

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or above in statistics, econometrics or an equivalent field
  • 2+ year of experience in designing and coding statistical modeling-based solutions
  • Hands-on experience in SQL database coding
  • R, python, machine learning- An advantage

This is a data-analyst position with growth prospects in both the technology and academic sectors.
